Our Story
The Stampede Story
Stampede Barbecue started with a simple desire: to share excellent food—specifically, great Texas Barbecue—in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Motivated by our passion for cooking and our travels across the South and Midwest, we seized an opportunity by purchasing a small barbecue and catering business in 2012. After approximately one year of refining our craft, selling at various venues, and looking for a place to call home, we discovered a quaint stone lot on Route 23 for our smoker and trailers. From 2013 to 2017, we operated as a seasonal roadside barbecue stand, offering picturesque views of Lancaster County, PA.
With each season, we experienced growth, and before we realized it, it was 2018. After considerable time, dedication, challenges, and achievements, we secured a permanent spot for our restaurant that we had been aiming for, and renovations commenced! Since then, we've evolved into what we are today: a destination and meeting spot for friends, families, co-workers, and local heroes to enjoy one another's company and savor fantastic food and drinks.
Looking Ahead
In 2022, we expanded our operations to include the only wood-fired brewery in PA, where we craft our very own fine ales and wild-fermented cider. You can read all about our wood-fired brewery right here!
Our goal is simple: to provide our communities with the best barbecue experience in the region. Our careful selection and preparation of premium meats, robust seasonings, and homemade sides and sauces testify to our dedication to delivering an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re hosting a family gathering, celebrating milestones, or simply craving the best barbecue around, we aim to offer a place where people can come together to enjoy the essence of Texas Barbecue and American tradition.
As we have evolved into the establishment we are today—and continue to grow—we aim to stay true to these simple yet fundamental principles: our love for sharing great food, our passion for American tradition, and our deep appreciation for the generations who laid the foundations of our country. It is because of them that we can pursue our passions and serve the wonderful people we do. Come visit us soon!
